Briefing Paper on Current Proposals to Amend U.S. Patent Law

Join us for the first in a series of expert roundtables that will explore key issues of patent law and policy.  Leading experts from government, industry, law practice and academia will assess current legislative proposals and agency initiatives in the areas of patent assertion entities, software and business method patents, and FRAND-encumbered and standards-essential patents. How will these initiatives affect current litigation and business practices?  Will they reduce perceived problems with the patent system, or do more harm than good?  Who stands to benefit and lose, and what are the chances that such changes will be enacted in today’s political environment?
